Yantai Spandes Co., ltd was established in October 1987 as the first spandex producer in China.

   The first phase project of Yantai Spandex started operation in October 1989,with the full set of technology imported from Toyobo Japan. The New Star ® spandex initiated a new era of the textiles and garment industry in China.

   Yantai Spandex Co., Ltd have expanded itself in the past several years from an annual capacity of 300 tons to 18,000 tons, becoming the largest Chinese spandex producer. The No. 9 expansion project shall be put into production in the beginning of 2005, so that the annual capacity will be 20,000tons.

   Spending years in research and development of meta-aramid fiber, and pilot test production, Yantai Spandex Co., Ltd started the commercial production of meta-aramid fiber in 2004.

   Based on the 110 thousand m2 industrial park, the newly built Yantai Spandex High & New Tech. Industrial Park is the location of No. 9 expansion project of spandex, the meta-aramid, and the future planned product of para- aramid.
